Ade Kipades is a surrealist-expressionist abstract artist whose art-making process concerns a metaphysical dialogue between his subconscious mind, his body and the world around him.

Ade qualified as a graphic design illustrator but later left the industry to apply his design and craftsmanship skills to ceramic musical flute-making and to experiment with fine-art painting.

He lived in Italy, where he exhibited at the International Ceramics Fair in Florence and collaborated with artists in group exhibitions across the country. He has held three solo exhibitions in South Africa, and his work can be found in national and international private collections.
