Carin Dorrington
Carin Dorrington received her BA Fine Art (Hons) Degree and Teachers Diploma at the University of Stellenbosch, many moons ago.
She taught art for 28 years at various secondary Schools, the Jack Meyer Art Centre in Paarl and then privately from home.
She is currently “retired” and works full time in her studio in Porterville.
Although painting was her main form of expression, she discovered clay during her teaching career and found it the perfect medium to express her joy in creating.
Her work, which consists of vases, sculptures and totems, are typically bold, colourful and happy. They are playful and should bring joy to the client.
“If my work could put a smile on someone’s face, then I feel my job is done”.
