Jacky Lloyd
Jacky is a sculptor carving in marble and fine sandstone, both three dimensional and in bas-relief. She alternates long periods of sculpting with intervals of art-jewellery making and ink drawing, each discipline informing and relieving the other.
Jacky’s work has a strongly metaphoric narrative, with subject matter that dwells in the resonant territory between the personal-psychological and the sociopolitical, examining aspects of our lived presence in time and place.

She has a BA in fine art from the University of Stellenbosch. She has exhibited in numerous jewellery and art exhibitions over the last 30 years, and recently held her first solo sculpture exhibition at ISart in Stellenbosch. She has sculpture works in the Hollard Collection in Johannesburg and the Spier Collection in Stellenbosch.
