JP Meyer

JP Meyer was born in 1960, grew up in the Free State and matriculated in 1978. After conscription he joined S.A.A. where he worked as an International flight attendant for fifteen years. In 1996 he swapped corporate life for that of a full-time art student at the Foundation School of Art in Cape Town, graduating four years later with a Diploma of Fine Art (Painting) cum laude. His first solo exhibition was held at the Association of Visual Arts in Cape Town in 2003 and since then he has mounted 13 solo exhibitions, 10 joint exhibitions and participated in many group shows. His work is in the collections of SASOL, DIDATA, Rand Merchant Bank, Hollards, Nandos UK and McMillan Publishing. He currently lives and works in Porterville, Western Cape.
