Lizette is an abstract artist who investigates far-reaching notions of mind and energy in oils, acrylics and mixed media.
Lizette’s intuitive expression that takes the shape of layers, marks and textures that weave beguiling narratives featuring landscapes and figures inspired by real-life encounters, drawn from the secreted memories of the rugged and sparsely populated regions where she grew up.
Technically complex and deeply authentic, her tonally evocative works in turn echo the lively essence of her current Swartland surroundings.
Although this is the first time Lizette is participating in Solo Studios, she has previously taken part in various group exhibitions, of which Art Unlocked was the most recent.
