Louis Nel
Louis Nel is primarily a seascape painter – the ocean has been his main source of inspiration for many years.
Louis uses a limited colour palette and extremes of light and dark to showcase this inner/outer world, reflecting an atmosphere and feeling found not only in nature but also in the soul.
Louis worked as a graphic designer and in the film industry as a props painter before becoming a full-time artist. Mostly self-taught, he has been a professional artist for 18 years. He has taken part in many group exhibitions nationwide, and his works are in private collections locally and internationally.
